"Working with Barbara and Sara on the purchase of our vacation home in Stinson was wonderful. We'd been vacationing out there for years, but when we thought about transitioning to ownership, we quickly learned there was a lot we didn't know. Luckily, they were there to teach us. Their expertise in this small, competitive market with limited inventory is incredible. They must know every house on every street, and it seems like whatever expert we've needed they've had a contact for us really quickly. On several occasions we would ask at the last minute to tour a new property and they always came through with someone to show it to us. Their advice on the pros and cons of the various properties we looked at and how we could formulate our best offer was key to us having our offer accepted on a property that is just about as perfect for us as we could have ever hoped for. "Barbara Sherfey Mitchell is exactly who you want as your agent. I have worked with her both to buy a house and also to sell one. She is attentive and on-the-ball in either role - Buyer's agent or Seller's agent. She is thorough, takes initiative to get things done, listens but doesn't just rubber-stamp everything you (the seller) thinks is reasonable, when it clearly is not; and is realistic about price and likelihood of selling within a certain timeframe. As a professional, she is without peer. But in the end, you also want someone you like working with. Barbara is that person - cheerful, fun, good sense of humor, honest.
